National Herald Case: ED got a big success in the National Herald case, clues of hawala transactions found in the search

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has got a big success in the National Herald case. During searches in Kolkata and Mumbai, ED has found some suspicious entries as well as clues of hawala transactions. Important documents related to a loan of Rs 50 lakh given to Young India have also been recovered from the office of Dotex Company in Kolkata. According to the information, clues of transactions have been found from the hawala found in the entry book. At present, the investigation of all these is going on.
On the other hand, taking a big action yesterday, the ED has sealed the office of National Herald. Along with this, the ED has directed that the premises should not be opened without the permission of the agency. The ED has put a notice on the National Herald's office not to open the office without prior permission. The ED had searched this office on Tuesday, after which it has been sealed. The ED team had raided here in order to search the documents here.
Earlier, the ED had raided 12 locations in Delhi, Lucknow, Kolkata in the National Herald case. Top Congress leaders are accused of violating rules in the National Herald case. ED officials said that raids were conducted under criminal sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) to gather additional information related to money transactions. The raids were carried out mainly on units that have been involved in transactions linked to the National Herald.
