Nasik Road Accident: Five students killed, three injured in car accident in Maharashtra's Nashik
The effect of the accident was so much that the car overturned several times and all its tires burst. Traffic on the route was affected for some time due to the accident.
Five students were killed and three others injured when a car carrying a group of students collided with two other vehicles in Maharashtra's Nashik district on Friday evening. The incident took place around 4.30 pm on the Nashik-Pune National Highway at Mohdari Ghat near Sinnar, a police official said.
The official said that a group of eight students (all in the age group of 16-20) from KTHM College, Nashik, were returning to Nashik after attending a wedding in Sangamner. Meanwhile, his speeding car overturned and hit two other cars coming from the opposite direction.The official further said that five students died on the spot, while three others were injured. The driver of one of the oncoming cars was also injured, he added.
The dead included the person who was driving the car in which the students were traveling. Two women were also among those who died. The two persons, a man and a woman, are yet to be identified.
