Mumbai- people are throwing luggage and chaos everywhere, heavy Navratri rush turns airport into a panic box

The Mumbai International Airport observed chaos and rush of passengers on Friday morning as people left the place for their hometowns for the Navratri festival. The terminal was looking like a crowded railway station. Many people missed their flight in all the commotion and blamed the airport authorities for poor management of the crowd which forced them to stay stuck in long lines.

Angry passengers took to social media to vent out their frustration. Vishal Dadlani, a composer, and singer tweeted, Mumbai Airport is a shambles. It feels like we are in the dark ages. Endless milling crowds, machines breaking down, tempers frayed, chaos everywhere. Staff does their best but are unable to cope. Some airlines such as IndiGo warned passengers to report early to permit sufficient time for security checks.
