Actress Esha Gupta on Sunday said that she has tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently in home isolation. The thirty-six-year-old actress shared this information with her fans on Instagram. Esha Gupta was last seen in the 2021 web series 'Naqaab'. On Saturday, 20,318 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Mumbai while five more patients died. There are now more than one lakh under-treatment patients in the city.

Isha wrote, "Despite extreme precautions, I have been infected with Covid-19. I am following the protocol and self-isolating and currently in home isolation." The actress wrote, "I am sure I will come back stronger than this. Please be safe and wear a mask. Take care of yourself and others. kisses to all."

Maharashtra had the highest number of 1,009 cases of Omicron. After this, 513 cases were reported in Delhi, 441 in Karnataka, 373 in Rajasthan, 333 in Kerala and 204 in Gujarat.The Ministry said that the number of patients under treatment for Covid-19 has increased to 5,90,611 which is 1.66 percent of the total cases of infection. The national rate of people recovering from Covid-19 has come down to 96.98 percent. There has been an increase of 1,18,442 cases in the number of people undergoing treatment for the infection in the last 24 hours.

The ministry said that the daily rate of infection was recorded at 10.21 percent while the weekly infection rate was recorded at 6.77 percent. The number of people who have recovered from Covid-19 has increased to 3,44,53,603 while the death rate was recorded at 1.36 percent. So far, more than 151.58 crore doses have been administered under the nationwide anti-COVID-19 vaccination campaign.
