More than 20 thousand Indians left Ukraine

The evacuation of Indians from the war that broke out in Ukraine continues. In the press conference, Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that since the issue of the first advisory, more than 20 thousand Indian nationals have crossed the border of Ukraine so far. Bagchi said that the evacuation of Indians from Ukraine is going on continuously, by now most of the people have left Ukraine.

In the press conference, Bagchi told that 16 flights will be operated in the next 24 hours under Operation Ganga for the evacuation of Indians from Ukraine. C-17 aircraft of the Indian Air Force are also included in these flights. At the same time, while giving information about Harjot Singh, an Indian student who was injured in the firing on Friday, Bagchi said that the Indian government will bear the cost of his treatment.
