The Delhi government approved the Delhi Film Policy, 2022 to promote the city as a hub for shooting and other production activities. Under this, it has been said to give a subsidy of up to Rs 3 crore and to host an international film festival.

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said in a press conference that in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, approval has been given to set up the country's first e-waste management park on 20 acres of land in Delhi. He said that the new film policy will focus on the development of tourism sector and economy and employment generation.
Sisodia said that under the policy, a single-window e-film clearance portal would be prepared in 15 days for more than 25 agencies for various permissions related to film production. He said that a 'film fund' of Rs 50 crore will also be created to support the producers through subsidy.
Along with that, Delhi Film Cards will be issued and its holders will get additional benefits and discounts. Sisodia said, "It is a very progressive policy which will not only aim at promotion of the film but also inclusive growth and employment generation."
