Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde has once again justified his decision and said that in the last assembly elections, the people of the state had given majority to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Shiv Sena alliance. He also said that he should have taken this step two and a half years back. He also said that he will soon go to Ayodhya with his MLAs.
Eknath Shinde said, “In the assembly elections, people saw posters, which had a picture of Balasaheb Thackeray on one side and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the other. BJP got 106 and Shiv Sena 56 seats. It was expected that both the parties would form the government, but it did not happen. Party workers were not happy with this.
Recalling the days when the MVA government was formed, Shinde said even though the MLAs were upset with the alliance, he kept them calm for the sake of the party. Shinde said, "Nothing good came out of it. Despite being our CM, there was no respect for the party. MLAs didn't get money for the constituency and there was dissatisfaction everywhere. I spoke to Uddhav Thackeray and what happened to the MLAs." We felt it was conveyed to him. Told him that it would be good if we return to the party with which we share our ideology but we did not succeed in our attempt."
The Maharashtra CM also praised his deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and said that he has always been impressed by his hard work. Shinde said, “Many people warned me not to take the responsibility of Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) as there was a huge gap in it, but Fadnavis wanted to change it.
