Lovely Professional University : Massive protests in Punjab University after student's suicide

Massive protests are taking place at LPU Jalandhar University in Phagwara, Kapurthala, Punjab. The protest is taking place over a case of alleged suicide by a student. The students allege that this is the second suicide on the campus in the last 10 days, but the administration has kept silent on the issue. They said that they are protesting as they want to know the reasons behind both the suicides. He alleged that nothing came to the fore in the second suicide case as the matter was resolved behind closed doors. At present, the police has reached the spot and is trying to pacify the matter.

Deceased Agni S Dileep was a first year graduate student in designing. A 21-year-old student from Kerala allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in his hostel room on Tuesday evening. No suicide note was recovered from his room.
