According to reports, this happened at 3 am in the morning when a Delhi Police constable signaled a car to stop. He thought the car belonged to the liquor mafia. But instead of stopping, the driver hit him.

ANI quoted Delhi Police as saying that the constable was dragged for 10 meters and then hit by another car. Delhi Police has seized the car but the accused is on the run.
Delhi Police constable Sandeep was 30 years old. He joined Delhi Police in 2018. According to Delhi Police information given to The Indian Express, he was patrolling the area on a bike in plain clothes after receiving complaints of thefts.
Out Delhi DCP Jimmy Chiram said he saw a Wagon R car being driven in the wrong direction and asked the driver to drive properly. Then the car speeds up and Sandeep is hit from behind, he is dragged for 10 meters and then the car hits another vehicle.
Delhi Police officer said two people are wanted in this case. They fled from the spot. He said CCTV shows Sandeep took a left turn and signaled the Wagon R to slow down. The car increased the speed and dragged Sandeep after hitting his bike. Then the car hit another car parked nearby.

He said Sandeep was admitted to Sonia Hospital and then shifted to Balaji Hospital in Paschim Vihar. He had a head injury which proved fatal. The constable has a wife, 5 year old child and mother.
After this news came out on Sunday morning, former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, referring to the three incidents of yesterday, said law and order has broken down in Delhi. It is jungle raj. People are feeling unsafe in the capital of the country. Delhi’s law and order is under Amit Shah ji. He has to act immediately.
