Leena Nair, the first female and youngest-ever Chief Human Resources Officer of Unilever has stepped down to join French luxury group Chanel as its Global Chief Executive.
Leena Nair, the first female and youngest-ever Chief Human Resources Officer of Unilever has stepped down to join French luxury group Chanel as its Global Chief Executive. This is such an incredible representation for woman of colour in the industry which is often promulgated as non-inclusive.
She posted it on her LinkedIn and Twitter announcing her new role. She tweeted "I am humbled and honoured to be appointed the Global Chief Executive Officer of Chanel, an iconic and admired company." Unilever also said in a statement while announcing change to its Leadership Executive.
As per the sources, Ms. Nair, in her new position will be based in London.
