With this, the film earned more than 100% of its budget on the very first day itself. Apart from Yash, the film also stars Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon. The film is directed by Prashanth Neel.
Film critic Manobala Vijaybalan shared a post on social media and said that KGF-2 has collected Rs 53.95 crore on the opening day itself. Describing the film as historic, Manobala said that KGF-2 is India's first film that has left behind even a Bollywood film. Prior to this, Hrithik Roshan's War had earned 51 crores and Rajamouli's film RRR had earned 20 crores.
KGF-2 has been released on more than 10,000 screens worldwide. According to media reports, the Hindi version of the film has got a total of 4400 screens. At the same time, Yash's film has been released on 2600 screens in the South, 1100 abroad, and 2900 screens in other languages.
