The Delhi government has given a big relief to the laborers on Friday. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has increased the minimum wages of laborers from April 1.
Manish Sisodia told that the minimum monthly wage of laborers is highest in Delhi as compared to other states of the country. He said that the Delhi government is revising the Dearness Allowance (DA) every six months to provide relief from dearness to all the workers of Delhi.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that in the midst of rising inflation, this increase will greatly benefit the working class. This move of Delhi government will benefit unskilled, semi-skilled, skilled and other workers. The Delhi government has taken these steps in the interest of the poor and the working class, who are suffering unbearably due to the pandemic. People engaged in clerical and supervisory work will also benefit from this order.
The Deputy CM said that after the increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) in Delhi, the monthly salary of unskilled laborers has been increased from Rs 16,064 to Rs 16,506 per month. Along with this, the monthly salary of semi-skilled laborers has also been increased by Rs 494. Now his monthly salary will increase from Rs 17693 to Rs 18,187 per month.
