Jammu Kashmir: Committee formed for transfer of teachers, will decide on transfer applications
The Education Department has started the annual transfer drive for transfers, which is taking transfer applications from teachers before the new academic session. In this application, teachers can apply for transfer to their desired place and can also give the reason why they should be transferred.
The Education Department has constituted a committee to take a decision on the applications sought for transfers from teachers under the Annual Transfer Campaign i.e. ATD. This six-member committee will look into the details given by the teachers in the transfers and the reasons for wanting transfer and on the basis of that the committee will give its decision. On the basis of the recommendation of this committee, the department will put its seal of consent or dissent on the transfer.

Apart from this, teachers suffering from serious diseases can also apply for transfer on medical grounds and those female teachers who are married elsewhere can also apply for transfer. If both husband and wife are teachers and they can also apply for transfer together or in the schools close to each other. Director of Education Jammu, Director of Education Kashmir, Finance Director of Education Department, Under Secretary of Education Department and representative of Health Department have been included in this committee. This committee will examine the applications and give its decision.
