Jammu Kashmir: BSF arrested Pakistani infiltrator, was trying to cross the border

The Border Security Force (BSF) arrested a Pakistani infiltrator near the Jammu International Border in the early hours of Saturday. The officials gave this information. Officials said the BSF saw 45-year-old Mohammad Shabad of Sialkot trying to enter Arnia sector from across the border.
They fired a few shots to warn him and took him into custody, the officer said. He said that no objectionable material was found from Shabad. The intruder is being interrogated.
Earlier, on August 25, in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba district, the BSF had foiled a major drug smuggling attempt by recovering 8 kg of suspected heroin from a Pakistani infiltrator. During this, the infiltrator was injured in the action of the security forces, but he fled back to Pakistan.
Deputy Inspector General of BSF SPS Sandhu said that ready troops noticed suspicious movements of a person at around 1.50 pm near Chiliyari border post near the International Border. A person was coming near the border fence with a bag after which the security forces opened fire. He said the BSF had received information about an attempt to smuggle drugs.
