According to the order of the Railway Board, Zonal Railways had sought clarification on the order of entering the address of the passenger during ticket booking. He said that now the Covid containment measures are over, so will the passengers still have to be asked to enter the address of the house. On this, the board ordered a change in this arrangement with immediate effect. The board said that after talks with the Ministry of Home Affairs, it has been decided that this arrangement should be abolished.
The Railway Board said that opinion was taken from the Ministry of Home Affairs in this regard. The Ministry of Home Affairs said in response that after March 31, 2022, no covid containment measure will remain in force. Therefore, it has been decided that now passengers will not be asked to enter their address during the reservation. For this, changes will also be made in the software.
