It is worth noting that last week an Indian missile accidentally fell in the Punjab province of Pakistan. On Friday, two days after the incident, the Indian government had apologized to Pakistan for the missile fired by mistake. Pakistan says that an Indian missile had landed near Mian Channu in Khanewal district of Punjab. This missile did not have ammunition. It was a matter of relief that there was no loss of life due to the fall of the missile.
India had expressed regret over the missile accidentally falling into Pakistani territory. Also, the Indian Defense Ministry had ordered a Court of Inquiry into the incident. The Defense Ministry had said that during routine maintenance on 9 March, due to a technical fault, the missile suddenly fired and landed in Pakistani territory. In this matter, Pakistan had also sought an explanation from India and asked the reason for firing the missile.
