The purpose of this bill is to strengthen the capacity of the police and forensic team along with providing scientific evidence to the prosecuting agencies. There is no threat to the privacy of the citizens from this bill.
Union Home Secretary Amit Shah said that our law was "childish" (meaning nothing) in terms of strictness compared to the rest of the world. Countries like South Africa, Great Britain, Australia, Canada and the United States have very strict laws. .This is why the conviction rate of criminals in these countries is also better. We discussed it with the states and implemented it, incorporating all the proposals. This bill was presented after studying the regulations of other countries in the world.

It should be known that in this bill it was said that it allows the collection of various types of details of the accused. This includes samples of fingerprints, iris and handwriting, etc.
