Hearing on pollution in Delhi: CJI said- it is very easy to comment on farmers sitting in 5 star hotels, no one wants to understand their problems

There is no improvement in the air quality in Delhi. The Air Quality Index (AQI) of Delhi on Wednesday is 379, which falls in the very poor category. The Supreme Court has sought an action plan from the Center and the Delhi government on the issue of pollution. Today again the matter is being heard in the court.

On allegations and counter allegations between the central and state governments regarding stubble burning, Chief Justice NV Ramana said that it is very easy to comment on farmers sitting in 5-7 star hotels of Delhi. But no one wants to understand why farmers have to burn stubble.He said that I have a report in which it is written that there is no contribution of firecrackers, so should we accept this report. There are many such reports that whose fault is there and whose is not, but this is not the time to see it all. It is time to solve the problem of pollution together.

Center said – employees cannot get work from home In this case, the Central Government today filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court and told that they cannot get the central employees to work from home. Along with this, it was also told that the number of vehicles used by the central government is a very small part of the total vehicles of Delhi-NCR. By stopping the movement of these vehicles, there will be no difference in air pollution.

On Tuesday, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) held an emergency meeting with the governments of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. In this, orders were given to the state governments to take measures to deal with pollution in Delhi and surrounding areas. These measures will have to be implemented by the governments immediately and the compliance report of these orders will have to be submitted by November 22.

After this, the Delhi government has closed the school-college till further orders. Education institutions will study in online mode like Kovid lockdown. 50% of the people in the office have been asked to work from home. Also, construction has been banned till November 21. Out of 11 thermal plants built in 300 km radius of Delhi, 6 will be closed till 30 November.
