On Tuesday, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) held an emergency meeting with the governments of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. In this, orders were given to the state governments to take measures to deal with pollution in Delhi and surrounding areas. These measures will have to be implemented by the governments immediately and the compliance report of these orders will have to be submitted by November 22.
After this, the Delhi government has closed the school-college till further orders. Education institutions will study in online mode like Kovid lockdown. 50% of the people in the office have been asked to work from home. Also, construction has been banned till November 21. Out of 11 thermal plants built in 300 km radius of Delhi, 6 will be closed till 30 November.
