Happy Birthday Rajinikanth: Fans celebrate as the megastar turns 70

Tamil actor Rajinikanth is celebrating his 70th birthday on December 12. Politicians, film stars, business icons, music directors, and celebs from various walks of life have wished him on this occasion.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished him a long and healthy life from his Twitter handle. PM Modi wrote, "Dear @rajinikanth Ji, wishing you a Happy Birthday! May you lead a long and healthy life."

Besides, many Bollywood stars, celebrities from other film industries, and musicians have released the common birthday display picture (CDP). Some of these celebrities are Keerthi Suresh, Aditi Rao Hydari,, Suniel Shetty, Raghava Lawrence, Sakshi Agarwal among others. Well-known music director AR Raman, who has worked with Rajinikanth in several super hit movies and composed music for many of his films, surprised the actor with his CDP.

Rahman's bonding with Rajinikanth is not new to the world. Rahman's CDP portrayed the actor in five different avatars based on the various popular roles he took in his acting career.

In one of the portrayals, supposedly the latest one, Rajinikanth has been depicted as a politician.

"Extremely privileged to release superstar @Rajinikanth’s 70th Birthday CDP on behalf of his fans. Wishing you a great birthday and good health!" Rahman, the Oscar-winning music composer, Rahman wrote on his Twitter.

Speculations are rife that the superstar will join politics and float his own political party with the name Rajini Makkal Mandram.
