Gyanvapi Case: Shivling found in Gyanvapi will not be carbon dating, court rejects the demand of Hindu side
On the decision of the court, Madan Mohan Yadav, counsel for the Hindu side said – The court has rejected our demand for carbon dating. The court has said that there should be no tampering with Shivling, it is not necessary now. We will also keep our point in the High Court because life can be lived on the basis of science.
The district court of Varanasi has given its verdict in the Gyanvapi case. The court has rejected the demand for carbon dating and scientific investigation of Shivling. The demand for carbon dating and scientific investigation was made by the Hindu side. District Judge Ajay Krishna Vishwesh dismissed the petition seeking carbon dating. This decision of Varanasi District Court is being considered as a big setback for the Hindu side.
The Varanasi district court said that the Supreme Court in its order had said that the place where the alleged Shivling was found should be kept safe. In such a situation, if the alleged Shivling is damaged during carbon dating, then it will be in violation of the order of the apex court and may also hurt the religious sentiments of the general public. At the time when the hearing of the Gyanvapi case was going on, 59 people were present in the court, including both the parties, their counsel, public prosecutor and the court commissioner.
