Grover family spinning lies and hurling baseless allegations: BharatPe

The digital payments firm BharatPe has responded to the allegations levelled by Ashneer Grover, who has just resigned from the company.

BharatPe has alleged that Ashneer Grover is spinning lies and hurling baseless allegations. It also said that he is issuing baseless threats which have no substance.

In a statement, BharatPe has alleged that Grover and his family was engaged in extensive misappropriation of company funds. It also said that he no longer an employee, a founder, or a director of the company".

"I write this with a heavy heart as today I am being forced to bid adieu to a company of which I am a founder,” Grover had said to the Board in his resignation letter after quitting as Managing Director and Board Director of BharatPe on Tuesday.

According to BharatPe, "Minutes after Mr. Ashneer Grover received notice that some of the results of the inquiry would be presented to the Board, he quickly shirked responsibility by sending an email to the Board submitting his resignation and fabricating another false narrative of the events to the public."

The Board further said that it will not allow this type of deplorable conduct of Grover and his family.

It said, "The Board will not allow the deplorable conduct of the Grover family to tarnish BharatPe's reputation or that of its hard-working employees and world-class technology. As a result of his misdeeds, Mr Grover is no longer an employee, a founder, or a director of the company."
