Game Changer Box Office Day 1: Ram Charan is finally back with Game Changer, this time with a Shankar direction, after an Essex for six years as a solo hero. This is the first Sankranti release for Ram, after Vinaya Vidheya Rama, and he is hoping to make a Lasting impression in a commercial potboiler with the original Shankar himself this January. The movie from Dil Raju and Sirish is expected to usher in a high commercially high note of 2025, and features Ram Charan's Vinaya Vidheya Rama co-star Kiara Advani.
As per trade tracker Sacnilk, Ram Charan-Shankar film Game Changer has managed to earn Rs 19.84 crore in India until 4 pm.
By all indications, Game Changer - Shankar's first Telugu direct film - packs in an interesting roster of actors, such as SJ Suryah, Anjali, Jayaram, and Sunil. The gripping trailer of the film is expected to set the tone for the audience's expectation, and booking trends are emerging towards bright prospects worldwide. With music by Thaman and cinematography by Tirru, Game Changer seems to be right up the ally of Shankar's brand of films, which features people in power, unchecked corruption, a sentimental flashback, and of course, the age-old good triumphs over evil.
Shankar is known for his vivid storytelling which defines his characters’ inner motivation, and it's safe to say that Game Changer marks the filmmaker's commendable comeback, especially after a disappointing response to Indian 2, which starred Kamal Haasan, Siddharth, and Priya Bhavanishankar.
Remarkably, this Game Changer showcases Ram Charan against two distinct images, probably of a father and son. Where the father appears to be a very conscientious character, the son is seemingly all in fun and unpredictability. While the then-current portions would have Kiara Advani play a part, a prominent role would go to Anjali in the flashback. As it turns out, the script for Game Changer grew as a result of a thought given by the ace director Karthik Subbaraj, who happens to be presently tying up on Suriya's upcoming film Retro.

After finishing the Game Changer job, Shankar will work on Indian 3. With backers Lyca Productions, Indian 3 is expected to trace the roots of Senapathi himself and the sections of this film showcased as a glimpse towards the end of Indian 2 were greeted with a more 'raucous' response.
Besides Game Changer, Ram Charan will star in Buchi Babu Sana's next, which has music by AR Rahman. He is also reported to make the film with Rangasthalam creator Sukumar, who has a calm demeanor but doesn't do justice to the kind of upheaval he has provided in Indian cinema by directing the record-breaking blockbuster Pushpa 2: The Rule.
