Foreign Minister reached Bhutan after Bangladesh, will aim to increase bilateral cooperation between the countries

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar arrived in Bhutan on Friday on an official visit. On reaching Bhutan, he said, 'He hopes that this visit is going to be very important for both the countries. At the same time, this visit will be effective in increasing the bilateral cooperation of both the countries. In the context of Bhutan tour, the External Affairs Minister tweeted that he is happy to be back in Bhutan. It was a pleasure to see Tandi Doraji, the Foreign Minister of Bhutan. After reaching Bhutan, the External Affairs Minister has also shared a picture.

According to the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, Jaishankar is on a visit to Bhutan at the invitation of his Bhutanese counterpart Lyonpo Tandi Dorji. According to a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs, the Foreign Minister will also meet King of Bhutan, Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuck. Simultaneously, S Jaishankar will also call on Bhutan's Prime Minister Lotay Tshering and Foreign Minister Tandi Dorji.

The Ministry of External Affairs has said that this visit will help in taking the friendship and cooperation between the two countries to a new dimension. The ministry further said that there is immense trust, goodwill and mutual understanding between the two countries, which has been organized to further strengthen this visit.
