The police have also found a note, which contains the names of all the jail workers who used to get bribes. A case has been registered against the accused after getting permission from the Tihar Jail administration.
An FIR has been registered against 82 employees and officers of Rohini Jail in connection with taking bribe from Mahathug Sukesh Chandrashekhar. The Economic Offenses Wing of Delhi has registered this case. It has come to the fore in the investigation that Sukesh used to distribute 1.5 crore rupees every month to the jail workers. Earlier, the Economic Offenses Wing had arrested 8 jail workers. In exchange for the money that Sukesh Chandrashekhar used to distribute to the jail workers, he got other facilities including using mobile in jail and staying in a separate cell.
Many exploits have come to the fore even before Sukesh Chandrashekhar, who cheated 200 crores. He had sent his messages outside, showing the security arrangements of Delhi's Tihar Jail. He has been caught sending his own messages out of jail through the nursing staff. It is worth mentioning that there are allegations against him that he stayed in Delhi's Tihar Jail and changed his voice to become an officer of the Ministry of Home Affairs and then cheated Rs 200 crore on the phone.
Born in a middle-class family in Bangalore, Karnataka, Sukesh always dreamed of becoming a millionaire in his life and to make his dream come true, he decided to earn money through thugs. He started duping people from the age of 17. In 2007, he had cheated Rs 75 crore from about 100 people on the pretext of getting a job. At that time he introduced himself as a big bureaucrat. After many years, he also duped politician TTV Dhinakaran of 50 crores.
