As counting has begun, the initial leads have shown the BJP is ahead in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
Out of 403 total seats, the trends of 134 seats have come and out of that 86 seats have gone to the BJP. This is seven less than what it should have got till now but still, it is emerging as the largest party as of now.
The current trend also shows that the party might now get the previous tally and cross the 300 marks but it looks like if the same goes, it might retain the power for the coming 5-year term as well.
The win will be a big boost to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the current Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Adityanath Yogi.
The other political party, Samajwadi Party, headed by Akhilesh Yadav is in the second position.
Millions of people from their constituencies of five states and thousands of candidates who are contesting these elections have been waiting impatiently to know their fate since March 8 when the last phase of the election got over in Uttar Pradesh.
The Exit Polls, done by various research groups from news channels have predicted a clear majority for the BJP, which means, it is going to retain the power and there is no change of governance here.
