The Election Commission of India has extended the ban on political rallies and road shows in all the election states till January 22.
The Election Commission of India has extended the ban on political rallies and road shows in all the election states till January 22. However, indoor political meetings will be allowed up to a maximum limit of 300 people or 50 per cent of the hall's capacity or as per the limit prescribed by the State Disaster Management Authority.
On January 8, the Election Commission had banned election rallies, road shows and some other types of public political programs till January 15 (today) and said that the order will be reviewed again after that.
