Earthquake in Manipur's Imphal, magnitude 4.0 on Richter scale

Earthquake tremors were felt in Imphal, Manipur in the early morning of Thursday. The magnitude of the earthquake was measured at 4.0 on the Richter Scale. According to the National Center for Seismology, the earth shook at 2:17 am today due to the tremors of the earthquake. However, so far there has been no report of any loss of life or property due to this.

In has been noted that the last earthquake that was felt in Manipur was on November 9 last year. Its intensity was measured at 3.8 on the Richter scale. The National Center for Seismology (NCS) informed this. At the same time, a day before this i.e. on November 8, strong tremors of earthquake were felt in Ukhrul, Manipur. Its intensity was measured at 4.4 on the Richter scale. The earthquake occurred 56 km east-southeast of Usrul at 7.48 am.
