'Donate ₹10 for RCB’: The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a major cultural phenomenon in India and more than just a cricket competition. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) continues to be one of the most talked-about teams, and supporters go all out for their teams with each new season.
Even though RCB has an active fan base and some of the biggest names in cricket, they have not yet won an IPL championship, and their struggle has turned into a meme and a rallying cry.
Content creator Sarthak Sachdeva created a social experiment that went viral very fast, riding the wave of humour and fandom. With the words "Donate ₹10 for RCB Goodluck," he printed QR codes that were connected to his payment account and adhered them to walls, poles, and random street corners.

Sarthak silently places the QR codes throughout the city at the beginning of the video. What starts out as a seemingly absurd concept takes an unexpected turn when people begin to notice the codes, scan them, and pay for them—either out of love for RCB or maybe just for laughs. Random strangers gave him ₹1,200 by the end of the day.

Due to their ability to perform well under pressure, RCB is currently ranked second in the points table after winning seven of ten games, all of which were away games. They have only lost at home this season, though, which raises questions as the league draws to a close.
To keep up their momentum, RCB will need to overcome their patchy home record in the final four games, three of which will be played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
