Giving information about this on Twitter, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted that"As part of international cooperation, the Assam Police, through the Indian Federal LEA, coordinated with the Dubai Police and recovered a heritage watch belonging to the legendary footballer late Diego Maradona and arrested Wajid Hussain. Further legal action is being taken. "
Diego Maradona was Argentina's legendary professional football player and manager and was regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of the sport. He died of a heart attack in November 2020.Assam Director General of Police Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta said that the watch itself belonged to the legendary Argentine football player, which was being kept in a safe along with other items in Dubai.
