Delhi Weather: IMD expressed the possibility of light rain, it may rain today

According to the forecast of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a possibility of light rain in Delhi on Thursday. The maximum temperature may remain around 37 degree Celsius. After a humid day on Wednesday, when the maximum temperature was recorded at 38.6 degrees Celsius, there was no respite in the night. The minimum temperature in the early hours of Thursday was recorded at 30 degrees Celsius, two notches above the normal at this time of the year.
In an update issued on Wednesday, the IMD said the maximum humidity recorded at 83 per cent in the last 24 hours was 75 per cent at 8.30 am on Thursday.
While initially the IMD's forecast was of heavy rain on Wednesday and also issued an 'Orange' alert for the day, it was later updated with the possibility of light rain. Most of the weather stations in the city remained dry during the day, while the weather station at Mayur Vihar recorded around 2 mm.
According to a forecast, till July 9, the intensity of rain in Delhi may increase to moderate rain, while on July 9, the maximum temperature is likely to drop by a few degrees to 33 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature is likely to be around 27 or 28 degree Celsius in six days.
