Delhi: Police arrested the absconding crook Sheikh Sikandar in Jahangirpuri violence case

Delhi Police has arrested Sheikh Sikander, an absconding accused involved in the Jahangirpuri violence. Sheikh was on the run after the violence. Delhi Police had placed a reward of Rs 25,000 on it. Arrested accused Sheikh Sikander already has many criminal cases registered against him including murder.

Since the violence, Shaikh was continuously absconding by dodging the police. The special staff of North West district had received information from the informer that Sheikh Sikandar was going to meet someone in Jahangirpuri, after which the police caught Sheikh by laying a trap.

After the Jahangirpuri violence, Delhi Police had registered an FIR on March 16 in IPC- 147, 148,149,186,353,323,427,436,307. In this case, 8 accused were absconding, who were declared absconders by the court. After which the Delhi Police Commissioner had placed a reward of 25 thousand on everyone. Sheikh was also included in these accused, who has succeeded in arresting today.
