Delay in special flight returning from Ukraine to Delhi carrying Indian nationals

In the midst of deepening fears of an attack on Ukraine, India has started a campaign to evacuate Indian citizens living in Ukraine and adjoining areas. On Tuesday morning, an Air India flight from Ukraine had left for India, carrying 241 passengers. This flight will reach India with a slight delay. Earlier it was supposed to reach here by 10.15 in the night, but due to some reasons the flight got delayed a bit. Now it will reach here at 11:30.

In view of the escalating tension between Russia and Ukraine, India has decided to operate additional flights to bring back its citizens. According to the Indian Embassy in Ukraine, India will operate additional flights from Kiev to Delhi on February 25, February 27 (two flights) and March 6.

The embassy in Ukraine had already issued an advisory to Indian students to return home due to the fear of war between Ukraine-Russia, but the relatives of Indian students were very upset due to the closure of the flight. India has once again appealed to Indian citizens and students to leave Ukraine immediately.

The Indian Embassy in Kiev said that Indian students should return to the country instead of the official confirmation of online classes by the university.
