CRPF jawan martyred in terrorist attack in Shopian

A CRPF jawan, who came home on leave in Shopian, was attacked by terrorists. CRPF jawan has been martyred in this attack. He has been identified as Mukhtar Ahmed son of Jalal-ud-din resident of Chiki Chotipora Shopian. Soon after this attack, the security forces launched a search operation in the area to nab the terrorists. Other details are awaited.

The operation of the army and security forces against the terrorists is going on in Jammu and Kashmir. An encounter took place between security forces and terrorists in Shopian, Kashmir on Saturday. One terrorist was killed in it. However, two security forces personnel were also martyred in the encounter. The encounter took place in Chermarg village of Genpora, Shopian. The search operation is still going on for the security forces.

Security forces have surrounded 2 terrorists. The security forces told Aaj Tak that they had received information about the presence of terrorists in the area. After this, a joint team of Army and CRPF surrounded the area from all sides and started the search operation. As the team moved towards a suspected hideout, the terrorists started firing. In retaliation, the security forces and the army team also opened fire and one terrorist was killed. Whereas, 2 soldiers were also martyred. At present, it is not known which organization the terrorist is associated with.
