According to the aggrieved passengers, the incident happened at 3 am on Sunday. One or two criminals already aboard, vacuumed the train and stopped it. Since then eight to ten miscreants forcibly snatched their purse, mobile and jewelery from the passengers of A-1, B-1, B-2 and B-3 coaches of the train. After committing the crime, all the miscreants got down from the train and fled within five minutes.
In this regard, the victim passenger Vibhash Kumar Jha told that he is working in the Air Force and is currently posted in Rajasthan. He was returning to his home Deoghar with wife and children. Shortly after the train left Patna Junction, some miscreants got into it after stopping the train near Shalimpur station and started looting. The criminals also robbed the purse from the wife of an Airforce personnel on the strength of a weapon, in which there were more than two lakh items including three ear rings, ring, mobile. As the train did not stop at any station, he informed the Jasidih railway station.
According to Vibhash, only A-1, B-1, B-2 and B-3 coaches were targeted by the miscreants. At the same time, on behalf of the Railway Police, as the SP Rail, told that there is an escort of RPF in this train. Incidentally no escort could be given yesterday. Without seeing the escort train, the miscreants stole the belongings of two or four passengers. An FIR has been lodged in Jasidih. After taking cognizance of the above matter, the police has said that strict action will be taken against the accused.
