COVID19 in India : 15,815 new cases of corona found in the last 24 hours
The pace of the vaccination campaign has been increased through the availability of more and more vaccines. Corona infection is not over in the country. In the last 24 hours, 15,815 new cases of corona were reported in India and 20,018 people were cured. There are currently 1,19,264 active cases of corona in the country and the daily positivity rate is 4.36%.
According to information released by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Saturday morning, India's Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 207.47 crore (2,07,47,19,034) as of 7 am today, as per the last report. This achievement has been achieved through 2,75,59,030 vaccination sessions. The COVID-19 vaccination for the 12-14 age group started on March 16, 2022. So far, more than 3.96 crore (3,96,83,369) adolescents have been administered the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Similarly, preconception dosage for the age group of 18-59 was also started on 10th April, 2022.
The Central Government is committed to widen the coverage of COVID-19 vaccination across the country and to accelerate the pace of immunization of people. The nationwide COVID 19 vaccination campaign was started on 16th January, 2021. The new phase was started from 21 June 2021 to make the vaccine for Covid-19 available to all.
