The spokesperson in addition introduced he expects WHO advice on use of Covaxin inside subsequent 24 hours."If all is in place and all goes well and if the committee is satisfied, we would expect a recommendation within the next 24 hours or so," Margaret Harris told journalists at a UN press briefing.
The WHO had previously stressed that it must thoroughly evaluate a vaccine to ensure that it is "safe and effective". Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech, which developed Covaxin, had submitted an EOI (Expression of Interest) to the WHO on April 19 for the United States Emergency Vaccine List (EUL).
