Congress leader Raja Pateria has been arrested by the police for making objectionable statements against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Raja Patria is a former minister of Madhya Pradesh. He made controversial remarks on PM Modi in a meeting, the video of which went viral on social media. A case has been registered against him after this video. According to the information, the police arrested him from his house at 7 am. After which Raja Patria has been taken to Panna.
Raja Pateria had asked people to be prepared to "kill" Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the sake of "saving the Constitution and the future of minorities, Dalits and tribals". In this case, the Madhya Pradesh Police has registered a case against Patria under various sections. In New Delhi, Congress condemned the remarks made by its leader in Madhya Pradesh against Prime Minister Modi, saying these statements are not acceptable to the party.
In a video that has surfaced on social media, Patria can be heard telling Congress workers, "Modi will finish the elections." Modi will divide (people) on the basis of religion, caste, language. This purported video of Pateria is from the rest house of the Public Works Department located at Powai in Panna district of Madhya Pradesh. The case was registered on the complaint of Sanjay Kumar Khare, Deputy Engineer, Public Works Department. Regarding this video, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra had issued a statement saying, “Following the complaint, a case has been registered against Pateria at Pawai police station in Panna district on Monday afternoon. The police found that the act of spreading hatred and disharmony among the Dalit, minority and tribal communities on the basis of religion, caste and language by Pateria in a public meeting has been found by the police to disturb public peace.
