Coins worth Rs 11 crore disappeared from the locker of State Bank of India, CBI is investigating

Coins worth Rs 11 crore have gone missing from the locker of a branch of SBI Bank in Karauli, Rajasthan. In the case, the CBI conducted searches on 25 locations on Thursday. Officials said that a case was registered in this regard on April 13 following the order of the Rajasthan High Court. He said that searches were conducted at the houses of about 15 former bank officials and others in Delhi, Jaipur, Dausa, Karauli, Sawai Madhopur, Alwar, Udaipur and Bhilwara.
Significantly, this matter came to light when the SBI branch started counting these coins after preliminary investigation. During this time there was manipulation in the cash reserve in the bank. The cash count was done by a private vendor. This revealed that coins worth Rs 11 crore were missing from the branch.
