Chhattisgarh News : TS Singhdev resigned from the post of Minister of Panchayat Department

In Chhattisgarh, once again the ongoing tussle within the Congress government has come on the streets. Veteran party leader and State Health Minister TS Singhdev has given up his responsibility of his Panchayat and Rural Department. His resignation has caused panic in the government and the organisation. The Congress high command has started preparing to deal with this confrontation of two veterans. 

In the last months, TS Singhdeo and Bhupesh Baghel have been present in the court of Congress high command in frequent tours of Delhi. Regarding the visit of TS Singhdev to Delhi, it was said that the Congress high command had asked both of them to remain CM for two and a half years unannounced, due to which Singhdeo appeared in the court continuously. TS Singhdeo is an MLA from Ambikapur Vidhan Sabha constituency of Surguja region of Chhattisgarh. Tales of confrontation between TS Singhdeo and Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, who is recognized as a strong leader of Congress, have been heard frequently.

Singhdeo has made several allegations in his resignation letter to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. He has said that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the allocation of funds was asked, but due to non-receipt of funds, houses of 8 lakh poor people could not be built. Apart from this, Singhdev has also alleged irregularities and neglect of his opinion regarding some appointments. Singhdeo has said in his resignation that due to being unable to fulfill the responsibilities, I am resigning from my post.

Supporters of TS Singh Deo believe that the high command had promised to give him the chief minister's post after two and a half years, but even after completion of two and a half years, the promise made to Singhdev was not fulfilled by the high command. At the same time, Bhupesh Baghel, while strengthening his claim, was seen saying that 'Kaka is still alive, there is no need to panic.' Bhupesh Baghel is known by that name among his supporters. It is believed that after the resignation of Singhdev, the period of confrontation between the two leaders is going to start once again.
