Britain and the European Union imposed restrictions on the daughters of President Vladimir Putin
Britain and The European Union has also taken this step and imposed several sanctions on both Putin's daughters, Katerina and Maria.
Since the invasion of Ukraine on 24 February, Britain, the European Union and other countries, including the US, started imposing a lot of sanctions against Russia, which is getting deeper day by day. After the US imposed sanctions against the daughters of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Britain and The European Union has also taken this step and imposed several sanctions on both Putin's daughters, Katerina and Maria.
The UK government said on Friday it was imposing asset freezes and travel restrictions on Putin's daughters Katerina Tikhonova and Maria Vorontsova as well as Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov's daughter Yekaterina Vinokurova. Britain says it has sanctioned more than 1,200 Russian individuals and businesses, including 76 oligarchs and 16 banks, since the February 24 invasion of Ukraine. It states that Western countries have collectively accumulated 275 billion pounds ($360 billion).
The Union of European Countries has prepared an updated list of Russians whose travel bans and properties will be confiscated. These people include President Putin's daughters Maria Vorontsova and Katrina Tikhonova.
