North East Delhi Team of Nand Nagri Police arrests a desperate criminal, recovers stolen Motorcycle, and a country-made pistol
In a victorious attempt, Team PS Nand Nagri, which is the administrative headquarters of the North East Delhi District arrested a desperate criminal and recovered a stolen motorcycle with a fake appearance/registration plate, and a country-made pistol loaded with one live cartridge.
New Delhi: In a victorious attempt, Team PS Nand Nagri, which is the administrative headquarters of the North East Delhi District arrested a desperate criminal and recovered a stolen motorcycle with a fake appearance/registration plate, and a country-made pistol loaded with one live cartridge. The criminal was later identified as Wasim (34).
Sanjay Kumar Sain, Dy. Commissioner of Police of the North East District stated that “On the 24th of March, the Police received privileged information regarding movement of a desperate snatcher roaming in the area of PS Nand Nagri. Immediately, after that a Police team comprising SI Bintu Sharma, SI Gaurav, HC Harender, and Const. Lalit under the supervision of SHO/Nand Nagri conducted a search operation around TLM Hospital. At around 05:00 PM a person sitting on a motorcycle near the wall of a park was seen. When the Police approached him, the man started his motorcycle immediately and tried to escape. However, he was overpowered by the alert Police and was caught then and there merely after a brief scuffle.”
On further investigation, the Police recovered a country-made pistol loaded with one live cartridge. After further inspection, the bike in his possession with registration No. DL-3SLA-6349 was found to be fake. It was also observed that the bike was freshly painted to give an illusion in its appearance. Originally, the bike was found a white color TVS Apache having registration No. DL-13SS-2601. An FIR was already lodged dated 19th of February with e-FIR No. 04413/22 under Section 379 of the IPC.
Mr. Sain further added, “Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 324/22 u/s25/54/59 under the Arms Act and 102 Cr. PC, PS Nand Nagri, Delhi was registered and an investigation was taken up.”
During the course of the investigation, the accused Wasim confessed to his crime and revealed that along with his associates, he used to commit snatching in the area of Nand Nagri, using a vehicle that too was a vehicle. The case is still under process as the Police are still investigating the matter and trying to locate his associates who were also involved in the crime.
