Bomb Threat Email sent to Six Elite Schools in Bengaluru, Parents and Students Terror-Stricken
Six schools on the outskirts of Bengaluru have received bomb threats through email, which has made students and parents, terror-stricken.
Bengaluru: According to Kamal Pant, the Bengaluru City Police Commissioner, "Six schools on the outskirts of Bengaluru have received bomb threats through email, and our local police are investigating the case further.” The threat shook the entire nation and has raised concerns about the safety of the students in schools. The Commissioner further added that all the children were immediately evacuated and taken to safer places.
Pant further added, "Based on the email, our teams are checking there at the spot. We will share more information with the media once we have more information.” After the threat was received, the Police said that drills have been there and the bomb squads have gone to the respective places.
The email has been sent to six of the most Reputable schools which read, “A very powerful bomb has been planted in your school, attention is not a joke, this is not a joke, a very powerful bomb has been planted in your school, immediately call the police and sappers, hundreds of lives may suffer, including yours, do not delay, now everything is only in your hands!”.
Whether it is a real threat or a mere hoax, that still needs to be investigated. The six schools which received the threats are, Delhi Public School (DPS) Bangalore East, Gopalan International, New Academy School, St Vincent Paul School, Indian Public School, and Ebenezer International School in Bengaluru Rural limits. At a time when board examinations are on the verge of happening, this comes as a serious threat said Mansoor Khan, from the board of Directors of the Delhi Public School, and the Police must investigate it thoroughly and at the earliest.
