Bomb Attack : Bomb attack in Khwaja Bazar, Srinagar

Suspected terrorists hurled a grenade targeting security forces at Khwaja Bazar in Nowhatta area of ​​Srinagar on Friday afternoon. Fortunately, the grenade did not hit the target and exploded at some distance from the security forces.

No casualties have been reported in this attack. Soon after the attack, the attackers fled from the spot taking advantage of the crowd while the security forces started cordoning off the area to trace the attackers.

The terrorists attacked a joint team of police and CRPF with a grenade in Khwaja Bazar, a police officer said. As soon as the grenade exploded, an atmosphere of panic prevailed in the market. Taking advantage of the crowd, the attackers managed to escape from there. However, as soon as the information was received, a joint team of SOG, Army and CRPF reached there in no time. The area is being cordoned off to find the attackers.
