Bhajanpura, Gokalpuri police stations in North East Delhi nabbed an auto lifter, teenage robbers
Two police stations in the North-East District of Delhi, Bhajanpura and Gokalpuri, displayed prompt action against petty criminals and nabbed teenage robbers and auto lifters respectively under Operation Ankush.

In the first case, on January 27, 2022, a PCR call regarding the robbery of a mobile phone by three persons after choking the complainant was received at police station Bhajanpura.
“Immediately, a police team comprising Sub Inspector Pankaj, Head Constables Krishan Pal and Shripal; and Constable Mukesh reached the spot i.e. Gamri Road, where the complainant Girish Sharma stated that at about 6:00 in the morning by chocking him from behind, 3 boys robbed his mobile phone VIVO Y20 and fled away,” Sanjay Kumar Sain, DCP, North-East District, New Delhi, said.
Soon after they flee, he chased and nabbed 2 boys with the help of the public. Accordingly, the nabbed persons were taken into police custody. Accordingly, a case was registered and an investigation was taken up.
During the course of the investigation both the robbers were found to be children in conflict with the law (CCLs). They confessed to their crime and disclosed about their third associate who was also a CCL.
On their instance, a raid was conducted and the third CCL was apprehended from the Tikona Park, Gamdi Road, Bhajanpura. During the cursory search, the robbed mobile phone was recovered from his possession.
DCP Sain informed further, “In another case, Gokulpuri police station formed a police team to reign-in the street criminals i.e. snatchers/robbers and auto lifters. On January 27, 2022, the police team comprising Assistant-Sub Inspectors Anil and Rajender; and Constable Rohit randomly started checking under Gokulpuri flyover at about 06:45 PM a person riding a black colour motorcycle Splender with registration number DL-5SCC-8124.”
He was stopped for check by the police team. On asking, the rider of the motorcycle could not produce any documents related to the ownership of the motorcycle.
“On checking, it was found to be stolen. Accordingly, he was apprehended and action u/s 41.1 (d) and 102Cr. PC dated 27.01.22 PS Gokalpuri was initiated. During the investigation, he confessed to his crime and disclosed his involvement in other cases also. His identity was established as Subhash, 30, a resident of Gokulpuri. He was previously found involved in 05 cases of snatching and theft,” Sain added.
