Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee has expressed strong displeasure over the controversy over 'one person one post' in the party. He said- 'Whatever happened, it was very bad. Things like this have never happened before in Trinamool.
Mamta also said- 'I am aware of the people who are involved behind this. Political analysts say that Mamata is referring to the party's election strategist Prashant Kishor.
He had brought the policy of 'one person one post' in Trinamool. Mamta and a section of senior party leaders are not in favor of it, while Mamta's MP Abhishek Banerjee wants it to be implemented. Due to this, the controversy in the party increased so much that Mamta had to call an emergency meeting on Saturday and she immediately canceled all the posts except the party president and constituted a new 20-member National Working Committee.
Mamta can take many more shocking steps at the party level in the coming times. There is speculation of a tussle between Trinamool and Prashant Kishor's outfit I-PAC. The agreement between the two is also likely to end. The indications for this are found in the claim made by PK's organization in which I-PAC has tried to take full credit for the Trinamool's victory in the last assembly elections.
