Back from an injury, Rohit Sharma is ready to Lead India in West Indies Series
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on January 26 18-member squads for the upcoming home series against the West Indies.
Star Indian batsman, who was out of action due to injuries, is back in the team and he is ready to lead the team India in the upcoming three-match one-day international series and the three-match T20I series.
He couldn't lead the team in the recently concluded three-match one-day series in South Africa as he had developed hamstrung injuries. India was washed out in the series by 3-0. Now since Rohit Sharma is back in the team, it is a big morale booster for the other players.
Meanwhile, The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released a tweet from its official Twitter handle and informed, “Jasprit Bumrah, Mohd. Shami have been rested from the series.”
“KL Rahul will be available from 2nd ODI onwards. R Jadeja is undergoing his final stage of recovery post his knee injury and will not be available for the ODIs and T20Is. Axar Patel will be available for the T20Is,” it added.
