Ayan Mukerji Requests Paparazzi to Respect Privacy at Father Deb Mukherjee’s Prayer Meet
Ayan Mukerji took a moment out to speak to the photographers stationed outside the venue and ask them to respect the privacy of the event along with the family.
Ayan Mukerji Requests Paparazzi to Respect Privacy: For the recollection of his father, late actor Deb Mukherjee, filmmaker Ayan Mukerji hosted a prayer meet on Tuesday in Mumbai. During the prayer meet, Ayan took a moment to appeal to the paparazzi gathered outside, requesting them not to hassle the celebrities in attendance by taking photos of them.
In fact, Ayan went on to speak with the photographers gathered outside the venue regarding that gloomy place where they had to click photographs. The filmmaker even said that since it was a prayer meeting for a departed father, he would like the paparazzi to cooperate and not hassle celebs for photos.
Ayan said, “I just felt like there would be a lot of commotion inside. It’s a prayer meet—it’s quite personal. If you feel you are not getting better shots, then I am sorry, but I think for us, this will be a better arrangement today,” he said.
In fact, one of the requests by the photographer to Ayan was if a vacant area was available where all the celebs could click pictures. Ayan said with a shrug, "No, there is no such area in the venue."

He added, “We didn’t have that kind of space here. There will be some shlokas inside. If there are too many photographers, then it will get very noisy. So please understand a little bit for today. I understand, but you guys also understand a bit today. This is a very personal event for us. It’s not like Durga Puja. It’s very different for us today. We will share some visuals with you later. Thank you.”
Some of the celebrities that earlier attended the meet of Ayan with friends include Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, and Aditya Roy Kapur.
