Ashish Mishra Monu surrenders after bail was canceled by Supreme Court in Lakhimpur Kheri violence
Ashish Mishra Monu surrendered on Sunday. After this the police has sent Ashish Mishra alias Monu to jail.
In the case of the death of eight people, including four farmers, in the violence following the riots in Lakhimpur Kheri last year. After getting bail from Allahabad High Court, the Supreme Court had canceled the bail of Monu and directed him to surrender within a week. Ashish Mishra Monu surrendered on Sunday. After this the police has sent Ashish Mishra alias Monu to jail.
Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra Teni's son Ashish Mishra Monu surrendered on Sunday after the Supreme Court canceled his bail in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case. Monu surrendered in CJM court, from where he was sent to jail.
Ashish Mishra was granted bail by the Allahabad High Court in the first week of February, which was canceled by the Supreme Court and directed him to surrender within a week. A week's time was till 25 April, but Ashish surrendered a day before in the district court.
Ashish Mishra, the main accused in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence, was believed to surrender on April 25. Meanwhile, he surrendered in the CJM court on Sunday itself. Now charges will be framed against him on April 26. On 26, the district court is to hear the main accused in the Lakhimur violence and Ashish Mishra, the son of the Minister of State for Home, for framing of charges.
