Another Indian student dies in Ukraine, 3,352 citizens have been repatriated by 15 flights so far

Operation Ganga is continuing for the evacuation of Indians from the war that broke out in Ukraine. In the media briefing, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that another Indian national living in Ukraine, Chandan Jindal, has died. Also told that the number of Indians leaving Ukraine has increased rapidly. Since issuing the advisory, around 17,000 Indians have crossed the borders of Ukraine so far. At the same time, 15 flights have been scheduled in the next 24 hours under the evacuation operation.

In the media briefing, Bagchi told that during the last 24 hours, six flights have returned. Including these, the total number of return flights has gone up to 15.

Since the middle of the war, 3,352 Indian citizens have returned home. During this, he told that the Indian Air Force has also joined Operation Ganga. The IAF's first C-17 aircraft as part of the operation is expected to return to Delhi on Wednesday night from Bucharest, Romania. In addition, three more flights will be operated from today to Budapest (Hungary), Bucharest (Romania) and Rzejo (Poland).
