Amarnath Yatra was banned for two years due to Corona. This year the Yatra is going to start from 30th June. Those who want to go on Amarnath Yatra are feeling that this year will be more crowded.
The yatra will end on August 11, the day of Raksha Bandhan as per tradition. The online registrations for this 43-day pilgrimage will start from April 11. The decision was taken in a board meeting chaired by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday. The pilgrimage to the Amarnath temple in the Himalayas, located at an altitude of 3,880 meters in south Kashmir, will begin simultaneously from both the Pahalgam track in Anantnag district and the Baltal track in Ganderbal district.

It also decided to extend the free battery car service from Baltal to Domel, 2.75 km long for commuters. During the meeting, Singh also directed that special invitations should be sent to Akhara Parishads, Acharya Parishads for the convenience of Sadhus and Sant Samaj.
